BACKGROUND

 

The Border Police Battalion Headquarters in Islam Qala, Herat, Afghanistan project consist of the design and construction of the facilities. The project site is located near by the Islam Qala Border and Afghan National Police had already occupied the site due to the old administration building being refurbished as a part of the contract. These soldiers had been moved to temporary facilities before the construction started.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

 

This project consists of the design and construction of the facilities for the Border Police Battalion Headquarters at Islam Qala. This project is defined as the design, material, labor, and equipment to construct and/or refurbish all utilities, roads, buildings, force protection measures, site security, de-mining activities and other features. This project consist of a police compound typically containing a water well, sanitary sewer system, power generation building, barracks, latrines, administration and storage buildings, pavements, guard towers and security walls.
