BACKGROUND

 

Kutahya Etigumus silver mine is located in Gumuskoy province. The plant capacity is 12 M tons per year and total deposit of silver mine is100 M tons ore. One ton of ore contains about 10 - 180 grams of Silver. The project was very important to increase the silver recovery and to decrease the zinc consumption. Client was suffering from high chemical consumption and low production capacity. New plant designed and installed reduced the consumable quantity and increased Silver production greatly

BENEFITS TO CUSTOMER

 

• Customer increased the silver production capacity 5 times and decreased the production cost to half.
• With less chemical consumption, plant became less dependent to the market fluctuations.
• With less chemical consumption, company saved money on storage costs of consumables.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

 

As we CH Consultant, we designed and manufactured /importing a Merril-Crowe system (includes zinc feeder, pumps, filter press, de-aeration towers, pre coat tanks, fittings & pipes) due to specific conditions of the ore. Also we installed of the system, commissioning and training were included.
